Wow, what an exciting update! Just this past August 4, we were graced with the presence of the magnificent Sturgeon Moon during the new moon phase! 🌕✨

And I absolutely believe that every new moon brings fresh starts and exciting opportunities! I am thrilled to share with you a glimpse of the significance of this amazing moon...
The full moon in August is traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon. This name originates from Native American tribes who noticed that sturgeon, a large fish, were more plentiful during this time of year.
The Sturgeon Moon has cultural and historical significance. For many, it represents a time of abundance, similar to the plentiful sturgeon catch. It's also a period associated with the end of summer and the approach of autumn.
In Wicca, the moon is deeply revered as a symbol of the Divine Feminine. It's seen as a cyclical force that governs life, death, and rebirth. The moon's phases are often connected to different aspects of the Goddess.
The Sturgeon Moon, falling as it does in the latter part of the year, is often associated with the Crone aspect of the Goddess. This is the wise, experienced, and nurturing face of the Divine.
Harvest and Gratitude: Like many cultures, Wiccans celebrate the abundance of the harvest during this time. Rituals of gratitude for the Earth's bounty are common.

Letting Go: As summer wanes, the Sturgeon Moon can be a time for releasing what no longer serves you. This might involve rituals for letting go of old habits, negative emotions, or things that are holding you back.
Wisdom and Intuition: Connected to the Crone aspect, the Sturgeon Moon is seen as a time to tap into inner wisdom and intuition. Meditation and divination practices are often emphasized.
Ancestors: Some Wiccans honor their ancestors during this moon cycle, recognizing the wisdom and strength passed down through generations.
So my questions for you would be:
What are you letting go?
How are you going to connect with your intuition during this period?
How can we honor our Ancestors in this time?
And what are you calling for this new beginning?
